A brutal weapon for a brutal time period
15th century Merchant Prince with hidden wrist dagger, baggy sleeves can hold lots of surprises.

Early Silent Picture Adds for San Luis Grocery



These are painted glass plates that would be inserted in the movie projector before the silent movie reel was run. They are about 3x4 inches in size. Over a hundred years ago, these were the latest in technological advertising to reach mass audiences. 
From the clothing and hair styles illustrated, these appear to be from the Pre-Great War Era (i.e. before 1920). Aunt Eva gave me these three plates in the '80's. 
I'm not sure how many Grandpa J.J. had made. If you have seen any others from San Luis Grocery, I would love to hear from you.
